This article describes the methodology and results of vibration tests of buildings carried out in Chisinau. The purpose of the tests was to determine the influence of structural systems on technological joints, the specifics of the contour and field reinforcement, as well as the development of analytical method for calculating strength of monolithic walls of buildings taking into account the seismic effect.

In the present research a nonlinear system with single degree of freedom is used for analyzing the behavior of structures under elastoplastic deformation. In this article geometrically nonlinear mathematical deformation models of shells with variable thickness, in particular ribbed shells, are proposed.
